The lecture is devoted to the analysis of the work of the poet, who published two books in the early 1920s under the pseudonym Golubchik-Gostov. The identity of this author was only established in 2021. It turned out to be Lev Mikhailovich Goldenov, who was born in 1892 and died in 1941 during the blockade. Like the original hero of The Ballad of the Poetry Contest in Blois, Gostov is full of contradictions: a subtle stylist and a tongue-tied dropout, an inventor of ingenious puzzles and a clumsy hoaxer, an imitator of former literary idols and a harbinger of great poetic discoveries. The lecture will analyze the characteristic signs of writing and important intertexts of Gostov's poetry. Particular attention will be paid to its elements, which anticipated the recognizable techniques of the poets of the Lianozovo school - Jan Satunovsky, Vsevolod Nekrasov, Henry Sapgir.
Lecturer: Evgeny Pavlovich Soshkin - poet, philologist. Author of poetry books, monographs, articles on the theory, poetics and history of literature, editor of a number of scientific publications.
The lecture will take place on Tuesday 26.07, at 19.00 Kyiv time
